On Ubuntu I've made an ugly shell script and put it
in /etc/kernel/postinst.d/

This is the script:

#!/bin/bash
#Kernel version being installed is param 1
kernel_installing=$1
cd /usr/src/dahdi
KVERS=$kernel_installing make
KVERS=$kernel_installing make install

You'll also need to reboot the system.
