Lol - that's actually quite funny, they could have reduced the cost by
removing the message button.

Like I said, works fine with the whole display flickering on and off,
thanks for your input-just thought I was missing something, maybe it's
there for future development.

If you look closely, there is no light for the message button.
The only lights on the unit are the LCD backlights and the four red ones
around the "5" key.

My complaint is that, it would not have changed the cost much to have
the
LEDs designed better.  Light the buttons, not the four trying to come
through
the case, and flash the message button, not the LCD screen.
