(2) More worringly, when I do force a transfer to rxfax, it does not appear to train with the fax machine that I am using (samsung sf-330). Here is a snippet of log:

Sorry, I don't have an answer for you. FYI, I've been having the exact same problem with a certain fax machine (in my case a software based one). I've tried the latest from opencall.org v1-0_STABLE and the latest CVS-HEAD.

Faxing is definitely tricky work - and I imagine there are hundreds of variables that could cause it to fail.
On a positive note - it does appear to work with _some_ fax machines.

Can anyone out there offer some tips regarding getting rxfax to work better (aside from links off of wiki)? Like maybe playing a background sound before executing rxfax or something crazy like that?

Any ideas what the issue might be anyone? Could this be voicetronix

Thanks in advance.
