The thing is I plugged the device in another room and I still could hear the noise. I think its possible it's just a faulty device.. Why the company I purchased it off of is sending me another unit.

Try switching your computer and monitor off. Or your halogen lamp. Or your cell-phone. Whatever could create an electromagnetic field high enought to make this disturbing noise.
