That's a dirty secret of VoIP. What you want to do is handled by the VoIP device. Most VoIP devices do not support this feature. I've heard a rumor that the v3.1 SIP firmware for the ATA-186 supports this feature, but I don't currently have an ATA-186 available to me to test this.
