I'm assuming you're referring to the Cisco 7940/7960 phones based on your subject.
I'm using G.711u with these phones and have not experienced this problem. My configuration: In sip.conf (Asterisk), I have: dtmfmode=inband for each of the phones My Cisco 7940/7960 config (in SIPDefault.cnf), I have: dtmf_inband: "1" dtmf_outofband: "none" dtmf_db_level: "3" dtmf_avt_payload: "101" I hope that helps. -Shaun ----- Original Message ----- From: B. We have an asterisk system set up, and we are seeing a lot of multiple DTMF digits being read by asterisk. In digging through the archives the only answer I have seen is to put in the statement relaxdtmf=yes in the zapata.conf file. Since we are not using any zapata devices, I have tried to put that statement in my sip.conf file to no avail. Any help would be appreciated as my end users are starting to get highly annoyed. Thanks, B.
