A call transfer in * is a blind transfer where there is an attempt to bridge the other end of the call with another extension in your dial plan. Call parking is placing the other end of the call into a "holding area" where they can listen to MOH until somebody picks up the parked call. Transferring is used in parking because you transfer the call to your "parking extension".
