/dev/sda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 0.61 seconds =209.84 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.57 seconds = 40.76 MB/sec I seem to be getting better performance out of mine, although I don't recall doing anything special to achieve it. The Asterisk box (IBM Netfinity 5600) with software RAID-1 over SCSI gives me this: /dev/sda: Timing buffer-cache reads: 856 MB in 2.01 seconds = 426.57 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 104 MB in 3.02 seconds = 34.42 MB/sec The Asterisk box is dedicated to the task, so sees little or no disk activity most of the time. Perhaps that explains the cache performance. The Asterisk box has a single X101P, with none of the problems reported in this thread. -- _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _/_/_/ _/_/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ _/ K e v i n W a l s h _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ _/_/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] _/ _/ _/_/_/_/ _/ _/_/_/ _/ _/ _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
