I've got the same setup at home. When * sees an incoming call; I let it ring my desk extension for 20 seconds. If an analog phone picks up the call, * hangs up the line; if nobody picks up the call it goes to the Phone Company's voicemail before the end of the 20 seconds and * sees it as a hangup. I've pasted the appropriate lines from my extensions.conf below:
