Is your DHCP server a Windows Box, a Linux Box or your router?

I decided to kill my WRT54G router as my DHCP server as I had so many more config
options by using either a Linux or Windows server (I ended up combining the Linux box
as both the Asterisk Box, TFTP Box and DHCP box)....makes config much easier.

Hi,

Progress report and question.

The phone boots and gets a dhcp lease. /var/log/messages show DHCPREQUEST and DHCPACK
for ip and mac address.
On the phone, I manually selected Alternate TFTP server = yes
The console on the phone shows that is has the correct ip info and tftp server
address.

In dhcpd.conf I have these two lines to designate the tftp server:
next-server 10.1.200.250;
filename "/2/P0S302000.bin"

The tftp directory has the following:
OS79XX.TXT
dialplan.xml
P0S30200.bin
SIP00115C93B788.cnf - this is the mac address of the phone I am testing with.
SIPDefault.cnf

I still do not see download activity in /var/log/messages. Is something missing?

Thanks
tm
