And there are plenty of places to buy them cheaper as well. Provantage has them for around $22. www.soekris.com (a maker of embedded PC systems) has the same unit without the 3Com sticker on it (it's actually made by Ault) for $20, and as low as $15 in quantity.
And to echo everyone's else's comments, it works fine. We've used one with a Snom 200, an Avaya 4602 and a Cisco 7940G (with custom cable). Not all at the same time, of course <G>.
