I have used four X100P clones in a PIII with Intel motherboard. It worked fine. Also I had it with an ASRock mobo and Athlon processor, it worked, but not so great. I had allways one card sharing an interrupt. There were sometimes artifacts in the sound, faxes did not work, and data calls: forget it. I'm running four now on a Powermac 9600, I'm planning to add another one in the next few days. It works perfect. I can fax, I can make modem calls.
