What Manfred wants to do is not that uncommon. I've used the method that William has suggested in the past. On a lot of corporate phone systems this is a simple option in the programming. Another way is to simply advertise your specials over your music on hold and repeat them... Hoping that the person hears the special.. The only reason they wouldn't is if the customer was on hold for too small of an amount of time, which the customer will appreciate more. :)
