I just tried it. Looks to me that the answer is no. When forcing G729 I get: Got SIP response 480 "Temporarily unavailable" back from 147.135.0.128 With G726 the call "connects" but all you hear is the friendly voice saying "your call cannot be completed at this time". Changing it back to g711 makes it work again.
