That's exactly my point: Asterisk 1.0 passes CIDName automatically when it
is different to CIDNum, but not when they are the same and the caller is
calling from a UK POTS phone. In this instance, I have to set CIDName
explicitly (to ${CALLERIDNAME}!). (Probably something to do with
CALLERIDNAME not currently being used on the UK PSTN.)My version (3rd party, 1.9.3.3934) of Firefly picks up CIDNum just fine! Maybe you have a CIDNum that Firefly doesn't like? -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Andrew Kohlsmith Sent: 03 December 2004 12:47 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [Asterisk-Users] firefly and caller id On December 3, 2004 06:36 am, Seb Auriol wrote: > Perhaps it is a bug in Asterisk that it doesn't pass the CALLERIDNAME > across to the outbound channel automatically when CALLERIDNAME is the > same as CALLERIDNUM, e.g. from a POTS phone in the UK. Asterisk passes CIDName just fine (in my case CIDName and CIDNum are different) -- Firefly just does not pick up CIDNum (I'm using a blank CIDName in this case). I know Asterisk passes CIDNum without Name just fine too, since that shows up fine on my Nortel system (PRI connection between * and Norstar). -A. _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
