The above is exactly what happens with my system - I've not done anything special (ie patches) to make this happen. I can do attended transfers by simply doing 'flash' while in a call, dial the new number and talk, press flash again and hang up. It works perfectly for me :) pressing # while in a call allows blind transfers.
