The reason why the status seems lagged is because Asterisk only sends a OPTIONS packet to the sip device to test if it's still online every so many seconds (a default value). If you want a more regular status, go to your sip.conf, change your qualify statement to a lower value. For instance, to send a SIP OPTIONS to the device more regularly, change the value to
qualify=100 ; 100 is in milliseconds. This value should be set under the sip peer. http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-Asterisk+sip+qualify On Monday 06 December 2004 12:35 pm, Edgardo G Bermejo wrote: > Hi, > When I do a sip show peers in the cli, the status is lagged. > This peer its behind a satellite link with 600/900ms of delay. > May I change some parameter in the Asterisk? > Some times I cant make a phone call from the remote site to my central > site. > > Thanks > > > Este mensaje ha sido analizado por C4I Mail Server > en busca de virus y otros contenidos peligrosos, > y se considera que esta limpio. > > _______________________________________________ > Asterisk-Users mailing list > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users > To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: > http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users -- Brian Wilkins Software Engineer [EMAIL PROTECTED] Heritage Communications Corporation Melbourne, FL USA 32935 321.308.4000 x33 http://www.hcc.net _______________________________________________ Asterisk-Users mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users To UNSUBSCRIBE or update options visit: http://lists.digium.com/mailman/listinfo/asterisk-users
