Hmmm - I suppose it’s a bit risky talking about "latest" and "previous" all
right.

Grandstream are only showing two release firmware versions at the moment on
their website at http://www.grandstream.com/Firmware/ : - Versions 1.0.5.16
and 1.0.5.11 - so these were the versions I was trying with a tftp server
also installed in the Asterisk server. Version 1.0.5.16 breaks the Message
button and auto-dial option (I think its something to do with broken SIP
Invite?) but version 1.0.5.11 doesn't have this problem (God help people who
have a remote/unknown tftp Ip address set in their phones and auto firmware
update turned on - it sounds like one day your Message button would be
broken).

Where do you get version 1.0.5.18 - is there a zip file available or do you
have to get all the individual files from a Grandstream tftp server?

It's a zipfile, but it's in a "hidden" URL on their website with the phrase "BETA" in it. I don't have the whole URL saved anywhere, but I think I got it off the list, so you should be able to find it by an archive search.
