Hello.
I'm having this same problem with a Budgestream phone: I've correctly installed G729 licensed codec (I've made all the checks you said in this thread), but Asterisk keeps giving the fatal message:
*CLI> Dec 21 18:02:49 WARNING[2375]: chan_sip.c:2764 process_sdp: No compatible codecs!
Dec 21 18:02:50 NOTICE[2375]: chan_sip.c:7295 handle_request: Unable to create/find channel
Did any one of you guys solved the problem?
What other software/hardware phones support g729?
Thanks in advance,
RODOLFO

This is still broken, I updated to the latest CVS. Flashed the Sipura and still no dice, does anyone out there have any ideas? Thanks.

Yes it shows up. turns out my SNOM maybe a piece of sh*t. It almost looks like Asterisk is responding with g723, or am I backwards./ This is part of SIP debug. I called Digium support, they blamed the SIP devices.. ideas ??

I am having the same problem, it doesn't work on my SNOM either. Below
is my sip.conf .. On both sipura and SNOM I get same results, I can hear voice but not send voice.
When you do a "show g729" on the CLI do you get that the license is intalled? You should see something like this:
server*CLI> show g729 0/0 encoders/decoders of 7 licensed channels are currently in use
If you do not have that command then the g729 module is not properly installed.
