I'd like to build a personal PBX connecting 4 or 5 analogic phones with a ADSL line and I'd like to know what is the right card I need
I visited digium site and I think TDM400 could be the right choice but I cannot understand how it works...I think it has 4 slots where 4 modules (FXS or FXO) can be inserted. How many cards do I need to connect my ADSL line to 5 phones? I think I need two cards, one with 1 FXS for the ADSL line and 3 FXO for the phones and the second card with only 2 FXO modules, is this correct?
Where can I find the drivers for this card? Should I re-compile linux kernel or there is another way to add drivers to linux?

Be careful with this. The OP did not mention VoIP. While he did mention ADSL, that does not necessarily mean VoIP. He could be referring to the phone line he - probably - still has that now comes off his ADSL filters, etc.

Joel is correct. FXO is for PSTN side, FXS is for office/phone side. If you want to use the POTS line typically associated with ADSL, you'll need a TDM40B (TDM400 + 4 x FXS) and depending on your needs/location a TDM01B (TDM400 + 1 x FXO). If you did mean to use VoIP, scratch the TDM01B and just plug an ethernet cable between your ADSL router and the NIC on your * server.

Oops, just noticed, for 5 (FIVE) phones plus using the analog line related to your ADSL line, you'd need a TDM40B and a TDM11B.
