Someone has already pointed out that you might have ran into a network problem. What's the network setup between phone and the server?

Asterisk CVS-v1-0-01/06/05-00:11:36 built by [EMAIL PROTECTED] on a i686

I was unable to use Asterisk from latest CVS, I am using version from 12/02 CVS. I was getting authorization failed in CLI, and phone could not make calls with CVS-latest Asterisk.
Might be something similar in your setup? Just copy /usr/src/asterisk from old server and try make install..

Please, someone, comment on latest changes in CVS for SIP configurations? Might enforced md5 passwords etc? Or anything like that?

A typo, right?
