We have a similar situation in one site and I currently suspect the network 
because in a different site with a good network we don't have any issues.

For a long time I suspected my e100p but it might be the handsets.

    The Polycom Admin manual says that the echocan on the phones only work 
    when in speakerphone mode, not in handset or headset mode.
