You have a *servere* inferiority complex.
I asked a simple question. The only people who don't see why it's a problem use inferior mail user agents which don't support threading, or perhaps they don't realize that they can do threading.
FWIW, I was unaware of this issue for a long time, too.
I did use threading in Outlook, but like many clients it "fakes" it using the subject headers. It wasn't until I started using Thunderbird elsewhere that I understood what people were complaining about.
I think the Digium listserv should just reject HTML messages and messages with multiple mailing list footers. Would cut down on a lot of traffic. 8-)
