Subject: RE: [Asterisk-Users] BroadVoice configuration changes for Outbound

Hello all,

I am sorry for posting again, but when asked on irc, they told me that the
reason why I get this error is because I cannot even connect to bv. I used
sip show peers and it shows the server is unreachable. I have tried all the
proxy servers and it doesn't seem to work. I thought it was a firewall
issue, so I changed to a different isp(different cable), but still has the
same error message. Does anyone have any info?
In sip.conf

register =>
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:password:[EMAIL PROTECTED]

[broadvoice] type = peer user = 212202xxxx host = sip.broadvoice.com fromdomain = sip.broadvoice.com fromuser = 212202xxxx username = 212202xxxx authuser = 212202xxxx authname = 212202xxxx secret = xxxxxx dtmfmode = inband dtmf = inband insecure = yes context = default qualify = yes disallow=all allow=ulaw ;Disable canreinvite if you are behind a NAT ; ;canreinvite=yes ;nat=yes

I tried to call bv support 3 or 4 times today, but I guess they are not
answering. Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Dinesh.

Hi All,

My version of asterisk is Asterisk CVS-HEAD-03/07/05-17:14:42

I get this error with broadvoice.

-- Executing Dial("SIP/10.217.84.12-0816c7d0",
"SIP/broadvoice/011612464823xx") in new stack

owl*CLI> exit

does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

thanks
Dinesh.

Dinesh,

First things first.

From your Asterisk box:
Can you ping sip.broadvoice.com ?
If that doesn't work, can you ping 147.135.0.128 ?
If that doesn't work, can you ping any domain name or valid IP (ie. 4.2.2.2)?
