That module is designed for Asterisk CVS HEAD, not stable. It will not work on stable Asterisk at all.
Are you sure? This is in the makefile:
# Asterisk version, currently only v1_0 and HEAD are supported ASTERISK_VERSION=v1_0
I guess if stable wasn't supported they would not include an option to compile it? I'm using bristuff and AFAIK bristuff is only available for stable *
