I know that in my modprobe.conf it is specified that ztcfg should be run after loading the module but.... why doesn't it?
For some reason ztcfg is only 'accepted' when run from the cli

zaptel will automatically load when the card driver loads.
modporbe will also run ztcfg after loading the card driver because (if you ran "make install") /etc/modules.conf tells it to do so.
