I think the useful debug info is the audio files rxfax will record if you enable the debugging.... These would allow Steve to re-create what happened, and I assume, fix spandsp and perhaps even test it using the same input file... Personally, I'd like to see (and I assume so would Steve) everyone who has all the required debug info, send it to Steve so that we can end up with a better fax solution. In fact, I think we would probably end up being MORE compatible than any other fax product on the market....
