They're also really bad about supporting the activation of the codecs when you do buy them...I bought 6 of them (3 for each site in this case), and tried to activate them through the customer's very restrictive firewall. Of course it didn't work since the firewall doesn't allow arbitrary port numbers to leave the network, and they have never even returned my calls on the issue. It wouldn't really bother me as much if they'd at least have had the courtesy to call me and tell me it was not possible to activate them over some other method (manual, http, https, etc). I've still got all 6 of them completely unused because of that. I'm now very selective on when and if I'll use g.729. My advice is to use anything else first, and use g.729 as a last resort.
