Howdy ! My name's David J Patrick, new subscriber, and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a filmmaker and eclectic sort, in the process of opening up a n Open Source centric caffe called linuxcaffe. (linuxcaffe.com; wiki website on the way out, drupal-based site on the way in)
The reason I subscribed is this; linuxcaffe is going to be a place to discover FOSS technologies, while enjoying a good cup of coffee. One of the many things I'd like to offer my customers is access to voip, free, if you rent a laptop. (think thin client internet caffe) and I would like to install an asterix PBX, too. I have a Bell business package without even call-answer, in anticipation of such a set-up. I'm hoping to find one or two enthusiastic/capable folks who would be interested in becoming our phone guru(s) and so, here it is, the word is out ! ;-) The benefits ? well.. we'll feed you coffee and sweet things... you get to hang with other propellerheads... and you can be instrumental in making your favorite disruptive technologies more popular !
