Alot of people should get more into practical networking and applied practices before bringing things up like qos lol, torex is more than perfect and fine for peering each other with, on another note alot of members on torex are now gigabit :)

You want QoS on a flat L2-device? Doesn't Torix do GbE?
 Unless you have pipes that are way bigger than the exchange device, I
don't see why it matters. You can do whatever QoS marking you want above
Ethernet if you want to.
