Hi Ian, I'm coming to exactly the same conclusion. It's much better to
pay the extra penny or two and get something your client is happy with.
I like Unlimitel a lot ...Stephan is a very nice person to deal with
..it's a real family business too, his 3 month old daughter comes in
to help out
and gain experience from her dad. This means that we can expect the
Monette family comittment to customer service to continue long into the
future.

For origination and on-net termination, I don't believe you can do
better than
Unlimitel. I have never been more impressed by a VOIP provider
than I am
with these people. They are proactive, friendly and completely
professional.
Their customer service is quite literally
second-to-none. Technically
speaking, they support SIP or IAX2 connectivity and offer gsm and
g729 in
addition to ulaw.
I am completely and totally happy with these guys. I do not use
them for
off-net termination only because their off-net rates are
significantly higher
than Nufone's standard rates.
And no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way other than a very
satisfied
customer.
