Hello Vasile:

Unfortunately I do not have any more information, other than the one I provided via e-mail. Yes of course... as long as I know by Monday, latest by Tuesday, you should be fine. So far 3 people have shown interest, so it's total 4 of us. Hopefully there will be more.

Cheers,
Reza.

Hi!

I do some work on Solaris 8, and I'm interested to see what's for me
in version 10 :-) Do you have more details about the General Session?

I will let you know on Monday if I can attend, is it still in time?

Thanks,
Vasile Brindus

Hello Fellow Asterisk Enthusiasts:

There will be a seminar on March 2nd, provided by Sun Microsystems,
where both Sun and Oracle will participate. If anyone wishes to
attend & requires a pass, please let me know. I will get you
registered. Sun recently made Solaris 10 open source, for those of
you who are not aware. Solaris does have certain advantages for
Asterisk with regards to simultaneous number of calls & other OS
related benefits.

Not necessarily you will be harnessing all the powers of Solaris and
Linux will work just fine... never the less, its a wonderful OS that
deserves equal attention, in my humble opinion. The AMD Opteron
chipset however gets me all excited & running an OS on an Opteron,
even more excited.

I've been working with SUN products for over 10 years, and the
technology is equally amazing as LINUX. I've been a supporter of
both technologies. Your only obligation if I get you a pass, is you
need to attendor it will make me look bad :). Yes, you will also
get a free breakfast and I will try to arrange a table for us.

Perhaps this seminar can benefit members ofTAUG who are curious
about SUN products. If you are interested, please reply to this
thread so we can have an idea of how many people would like to go & I
will get the appropriate number of passes sent out individually via e-
mail.

Bestwishes,
Reza.
