Very, very cool phones, and excellent provisioning through DHCP. I just have one set of complaints about them and am hoping someone can show me what I'm overlooking.
These phones let you pull everything off the FTP provisioning server. Everything, it seems, except for the FTP login/pass, and of course the VLAN ID. I have scoured the documentation looking for some DHCP option # to use to set this information but alas, it seems it is just not possible. This is a real shame, because instead of just pulling a phone out of a box and plugging it in, I need to do some rinky-dink configuration on the phone itself if I want to lock down the FTP or set a specific VLAN for the phones. Can anyone prove me wrong on this? -A.
