I am very new to Asterisk and am trying to setup an Asterisk at Home 2.7
solution to get started…

I’ve tried to follow the setup instructions in the @Home Wiki but things are
not aligning. Reading from the top down, everything I am doing thus far is
behind the firewall at the moment, I also turned off Windows Firewall… in the
documents it appears I do not need to setup Trunks yet to test my Software SIP
Phone (X-Lite) connectivity to Asterisk. I just need to setup an Extension… I
should be able to dial *43 for a test tone, but all my Softphone says is Call
Failed: 503 Service Unavailable.

I created an extension 200 and used those settings in my SoftPhone…

The log file in the Softphone is below at the bottom of this message... the
Asterisk “Reports” via AMP indicate that there is a connection attempt (No
Answer) …. But it is logged, so I’m assuming that means Asterisk knows my
Softphone is trying to connect with it… It just isn’t interested in talking…
