Hi * people:

I need to move to a VOIP provider with a free area code (Montreal or
Ottawa) so I can make calling from PEI easier. As a member of the * Army,
I'm feeling a little isolated here but hopefully that is changing. I won't
remove
the local service trunk, but I need to find some way to keep the phone bills
down. I also don't have a credit card at the moment.

What providers are recommended in light of all of the above? Does anyone
have experience with Ravon? They never seem to be mentioned.

As a point of interest, there was a CRTC hearing here in Charlottetown last
month re: 911 on VOIP. I understand that Unlimitel was here for that,
among others. The head of 911 operations confirmed this when I realized
who the interests are. Thanks be to the list for that.

Its a great discussion list you have here, although I would like to see more
discussion on how we can start to make some money with our * hobby.

Thanks,
Peter MacFarlane
