All,
I am sure this is a recurring question / item of discussion. and I shall also search/surf the archives, but nothing like getting updated info, since two months ago could seem like light years in the development and application of Asterisk. I have installed Asterisk, with some degree of nervousness, in a half-dozen customer sites with 20-100 stations. Each time it gets easier and is smoother and the nerves calmer. We have not had any of the problems with the Digium cards as recently mentioned, but we are planning an install for next month of 100 stations where they want to maintain, for some time anyway, their two existing PRIs and we are going to try the Sangoma A102s. Now I have an RFP for a 100 station call center by a call-center operator setting up a new site and specifically interested in how Asterisk would compare to a typical solution they have already and would normally plan to install. Not being familiar with the nuances specific to call-centers I am wondering if any of you are, and have * running in this environment? Are there software packages that are designed for * that are preferred/proven? (I guess I would start with Sugar?) What are the pitfalls? What should I look out for? I am assuming, however, that as long as I am confident with my team's ability to manage the Asterisk side of things, that the call center operator will pick-up the slack on the call-center-specific side of it. Comments, please! Thanks in Advance. Regards, Michael
