Mark,

Most of the config files for the different protocols have an option in
their general section that tells that indicates to which IP address it
should bind.

For example see this info on sip.conf. In this file, the relevant
property is 'bindaddr'
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/index.php?page=Asterisk+config+sip.conf

I can't say that I've configured every protocol but the pattern holds
for IAX2 and I think the manager interface as well. I would assume
that other protocols are similar.

Good luck with your project,
Dave

Greetings,

I've got asterisk set up and running on my server which has several IP
addresses. Does anyone know of a way to force asterisk to use the IP
address of my choice?

Lets say I have 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3 configured as IP addresses
for my server. I want asterisk to listen on only 192.168.1.3 and use
192.168.1.3 when opening sockets to other devices.

Thanks,
Mark
