Well I am trying to change the dial tone that's generated when you perform a
DISA (route to DISA?). I'll take a look at your suggestion though. It's 5
steps in the direction that I need to be.

Thanks!

Not sure exactly how to make the change, but the file you are going to want
to use is indications.conf, as far as setting the frequencies, and then in
/etc/zapata.conf you'd need to hack around with the loadzone settings.

Keep in mind that the pbx does not supply dial tone to IP telephones; the
device does that itself, so changing dial tone in asterisk will not affect
how a SIP user hears dial tone.

Subject: [on-asterisk] Asterisk and Dial Tones

Morning all!

Does anyone out there know how to change the dial tone frequency on
Asterisk? Or even better, to replace it with something else completely
(like a "Bong")?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
