Well I am trying to change the dial tone that's generated when you perform a DISA (route to DISA?). I'll take a look at your suggestion though. It's 5 steps in the direction that I need to be.

Keep in mind that the pbx does not supply dial tone to IP telephones; the device does that itself, so changing dial tone in asterisk will not affect how a SIP user hears dial tone.
