I have a client that has been using Vonage with mixed results.
I needed to prove to them that Unlimitel would be a better option for them using X-Lite but I can't seem to get them working via SIP. Their machine is behind a Vonage box (Linksys RTP-300, which is partly locked down since I am unable to access the Voice side of the unit as expected). I have port forwarded 5060, 8000-8005 and 3478 (all both UDP/TCP) without results. It appears to register with Unlimitel, but no calls can actually be made. If I change X-Lite settings to point to my Asterisk box (which is behind a firewall), give her an extension with NAT=Yes, she can place calls without problem... So, I would like to ask if anyone has an idea of how to solve this problem... Is it the Linksys box? Is it Unlimitel not playing well with the Linksys box? Is there a way to make X-Lite behave differently behind a NAT like Linksys? Any other suggestions? Regards, Chuck
