I do see the first page but I can't see the maint page. However, after freeing some space, now I am able to access admin (freepbx) page too but then Trunks don't show because of error in database not loading.
I still don't know why mysql doesn't start. What is the command to manually start it ?

The first page in Trixbox doesn't use a database at all. Unless your apache process fails, you should always be able to see it.

John, thanks for the tips.
I checked the log and it seemed like I run out of space. So, I deleted six of asterisk log files (2 GB each; I don't know why they were so big) and now I have :
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda2 18G 1.5G 16G 9% /
/dev/hda1 99M 8.4M 86M 9% /boot
none 125M 0 125M 0% /dev/shm
and the log for my sql has changed to this:
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]# tail /var/log/mysqld.log
061028 15:35:49 InnoDB: Starting shutdown...
061028 15:35:50 InnoDB: Shutdown completed; log sequence number 0 43644
061028 15:35:50 [Note] /usr/libexec/mysqld: Shutdown complete
061028 15:35:50 mysqld ended
061028 15:38:24 mysqld started
061028 15:38:25 InnoDB: Started; log sequence number 0 43644
/usr/libexec/mysqld: ready for connections.
Version: '4.1.20' socket: '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' port: 3306 Source distribution
[EMAIL PROTECTED] ~]#
So, I dont' know what the problem is now. I can access the first page for trixbox now but the sys admin page and freepbx still don't show.
Thanks,
Bruce

Try to start the service manually
And then 'tail /var/log/mysqld.log'
Post the output that might indicate why it's not loading.
Thanks
John

Subject: [on-asterisk] MySQL fails
Hello everyone,
First, here is a short summery of my machine:
I have had a stable Trixbox system for a while now. I upgraded to 1.2.1 and there were some issues with it, though, my box was working up to my expectations. I have recently uploaded g723 and g729 to the box (intel codecs) and also created a trunk for uplink (the skype bridge program). Other than these changes, I have had the general settings altered to accept outside SIP registration requests.
My system does start now, however, MySQL fails. There are also mails the /dev/hda has problem and there are uncorrectable or unreadable sectors.
So, I am wondering if the bad sectors have caused the MySQL to not load. I don't think that is the problem though because the first page for Trixbox loads up and I can use all the features except for FreePBX. This is the msg that I get when I try to access FreePBX:
[nativecode=Lost connection to MySQL server during query] ** mysql://asteriskuser:[EMAIL PROTECTED]/asterisk
^^^^^^so, obviously because MySQL didn't start up.
I tried starting mySQL but it shuts off again for some reason.
I don't want to scrap the system and re-install. What could be the solution? or infact, what is the problem?
Thanks,
Bruce
