Hi guys: Remember those DID line conversion cards that we were going to order a while ago? Well, we have three of them. I put two in an old server with an ISA backplane and they work pretty much as advertised. They generate - 48V themselves, autoconfig to the DID line, etc. There are, however, some issues; the biggest one being that the Asterisk server can't pick up the line when the DID card rings it. Right now we're using one of the cheap X-101p FXO cards to test with because I still have to justify ordering a multiport card.
I have a phone set plugged into the phone jack of the FXO card and the ring goes thru to it OK. The Asterisk server is working because it answers a normal POTS line OK. No activity on the Asterisk console for a DID call either. Any ideas what I should be checking here next? If I can get the server to answer the line, then all I have to do is modifiy the dial plan to get the four DID digits as soon as the call is answered. They are transferred as soon as the line is picked up. A little different but it seems like a workable scenerio. I might be able to get a substantial Xmas bonus out of this but chances are looking low at the moment. Your opinions would be significantly appreciated.
