Hi Kedaar, Check the following page: http://www.voip-info.org/wiki-VOIP+Phones section: WLAN or WiFi Phones
From asterisk point of view, there's no difference between an ethernet
phone or a WiFi phone. On a WiFi phone you need to configure the WiFi parameters in order to connect to your WiFi network, in addition to the VoIP parameters (SIP server, SIP username etc.). Hope this helps, Ovidiu Sas On 12/22/06, Kedaar Ghanekar <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Hello, I am wondering how to set up a wifi phone (connected to a wireless router) to make calls to an asterisk server. My specific questions are: can it be done with asterisk? is it easy? what type of wifi phone is needed? can I be pointed toward some more documentation of how to do this? thanks in advance! kedaar
