That's the whole buddy-watch thing in the polycoms. I know they can report to each other (for BLF and such), but never figured out how to make that work with hint in asterisk.
That's the trick: how to query the phone for it's status as part of the flow of a call through the dialplan. I think a function is needed, but how that would work is not clear to me just yet.
