For our customers that use Polycom's, we set the following on the Lines tab.
(we actually set it via XML)

      Message Center
      Subscriber
      Callback Mode  Registration Contact Disabled
      Callback Contact

In the dialplan for the outbound context of the phone we have:

exten => *98,1,Answer
exten => *98,2,Wait(1)
exten => *98,3,VoiceMailMain([EMAIL PROTECTED])
exten => *98,4,Hangup

Replace vm-context with whatever your Voicemail context is...most likely
default.

Naturally we have the phone setup so the Caller ID Number matches the mailbox
number.

Regards,
Bill

  Subject: [on-asterisk] Polycom SoundPoint IP 501 voicemail feature

  Hello guys,

  I have setup a polycom 501 with Trixbox but I have trouble setting *97 on the
polycom. Under SIP settings for voicemail I have *97 but it doesn't seem to
work. Is there any other setting that I might be missing?

  Thanks in advance,
  Bruce
