Chuck,

Take a look at http://www.linuxvirtualserver.org . It will fully explain what & how as John was suggesting. Using the NAT method is fairly simple and should suffice balancing up to 20 real servers.

I have a need for a web load balancer for some web servers at the data
center. Can anyone make a recommendation for a very easy and straight
forward (preferably open source/free) load balancer that can balance any
web servers (Linux/*nix or Windows Based)?

I eventually will also have to load balance and/or fail over some
asterisk servers, so if anyone knows of a solution that will allow this
(preferably from the same load balancers) please let me know your
thoughts.

I really need something simple/easy since I will not be the only one
administrating this.

Regards,

Chuck
