Very telling that Bell doesn't appear up-to-speed. On Monday (before it was mandated) I went to the Telus (wife's) & Rogers (me) stores to see if anyone had a clue.
Telus has a glossy out on it already and the salesperson was definitely "up-to-speed". Rogers not only was up to speed but had obviously received _significant_ training. They offered to start the process now, batching the entries and the deed would be done by 7:00 Wed morning (when it was law). Keep in mind too that gov't was pretty savvy this time. They mandated the ability to _give_away_ a number by last Wed. but only this Sept to be able to _assume_ a number from another carrier. By placing the giving away business part first, (at least) Telus & Rogers are well prepared and in advance of their mandated September deadline. Obviously they are much hungrier than Bell.
