Hi,

I'm going to be installing a new Asterisk system at a client in a few
weeks - they are currently using a hosted PBX service with which they
have had a lot of issues.

The service provider claims the issue is with their network. The network
is managed remotely from the clients headquarters in Seattle (we are in
Calgary), with all external access being routed through Seattle.

Asterisk will be installed on the local network - external access is not
required as they will be using a PRI.

My client is concerned that we will have issues as well - besides going
through and actually installing and setting up a test  Asterisk machine
and some phones, is anyone aware of any tools to check for network
compatibility or potential issues?

Specifically I'm thinking of some form of SIP test and maybe a method to
check that RTP works between a few points...

Any other ideas?
