Hi Reza,

It's exactly what I believed too and that's why I kept on trying
different options. The sniffing helped me a lot from not even able to
register to get registered, to be able to do outbound call etc. But
something I found out also lead me to doubt the compatibility as well.

For example, the provider's sip gateway will send to my asterisk box two
invite message when there is a inbound call. The first one with
ulaw,alaw,g729 options and get my server matched with ulaw and the
provider's sip gateway ack this negotiation as well. But then right
after the provider's sip gateway send another invite which has only g729
codec option and as my box doesn't have support for that, the call get
dropped. On the other hand, x-lite just ignore the second invite and
keep using the first one fine.

This is just one example and there are some other issues as well. I
don't know where the trick is but if anyone knows how to config asterisk
pretty much mimic the x-lite, I would love to hear.

Thanks again for your time.
