Hi,

I'm helping out a friend who wants to move to an inexpensive phone system.
He has really simple requirements and is happy to have an analog line
supplied by an ATA which is programmed to connect directly to a local ITSP.

I'm planning to use a Linksys PAP2T, but I'm concerned about the lack of
prioritization for VoIPon the Cogeco cable link. It is such a basic service
that I could get away with saying "don't download anything fast (like a
torrent) while talking on the phone", but I thought I should quiz everyone
here for what hardware they would recommend that could prioritize traffic
(or just reserve bandwidth) as well as act as the ATA.

Something around $100 all-in would be nice. Am I dreaming, or do some of
the router/ATAs (Grandstream, et. al.) do this already?

Thanks,
Dave.
