I know this is not an Asterisk question, but I know that our list is full of telcom specialists. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Bounty (to be paid at this weeks meeting): #1 Information - a beer #2 Information and a winPcap dump - food and 2 beers! We need to listen to the Nortel Symposium Multicast packets. I was at the clients location last week and tried to use WireShark to get a dump of the traffic so we could use it for replay while developing. We could see the PIMv2 packets for hold time, but need the packets which show the agent stats. Client claimed these packets were being broadcast but we couldn't see it with WireShark, but their telcom specialist is on vacation for 2 more weeks so they couldn't verify. So question is, does the Agent stats packets also use PIMv2 (we are assuming yes)? And if not, which protocol. Also if anyone has access to this data stream, any chance of get a packet dump (winPcap) that we could use for development and testing? ( Yes I know a long shot here ). It's not possible to get remote access to the client's network, since they are totally anal about security, and located in Nevada. Thanks, Mike
